Foza is located east of Asiago, at the foot of the Melette and Monte Fior, historically important places for the events concerning the First World War, told in the book by Emilio Lussu “A year at the Plateau” and in the film based on the same book ” Men against”.
A place also dear to Mario Rigoni Stern, who wrote about tragic historical events of WWI in his books “Waiting for the dawn” and “The found bottle”. Mario loved to visit the hill and the little church of San Francesco, as well as the parish church with the important altarpiece by Francesco Da Ponte. He also loved to talk about sheep and shepherds, who have been the backbone of the Plateau for centuries. Ideal for those looking for a relaxing holiday in the quiet of nature, alternating with outdoor activities in the mountains, both in winter and in summer.
